Vwown3d
I know that one vendor on here sells the kits for over 100 bucks. I've recently bought a kit from them. Is this the same kit? WTF its like half price.... http://ddmtuning.com/hidkihidbuhi.html I feel like i've been robbed...... comparison, a 3000k 55w kit is $75+$20 for harness = $95 From the guy on here the same kit is $
rice_rocket
Holy smokes it's cheaper! Looks to be the same, I got a DDM kit and have been happy so far, I might just have to buy another set!!

rtbrjason
Seems like a really good deal but from what I hear of this kit, you might want to buy 2. I'm considering the xtreme Japanese kit from xennon expert.

akscooby
It's the same kit. I've got two...lows and fogs, both 5000k. Looks pretty sharp, lots of light. One bulb doesn't like to fire if headlights are on at startup, but other then that no problems. Got them from ddmtuning.com Had no problems with the order, good phone support when ordering, and helped me figure postage out to Alaska. I recommend ddmtuning based on my experiences. StoplightAssassin
I feel like i've been robbed...... you're not the only one. FWIW I'd hold off on buying a second set to see if your first set lasts. It seems like many people are having problems with their DDM kit...even that vendor is eluding to the fact that the DDMs don't always work. RIPjeep2002
I disagree Stoplight. Mine are in, and it is about 10 degrees here lately with all types of precipitation and I have had not one problem with the kit. I love my 5000K
StoplightAssassin
mine worked fine at first...then the passenger side sporadically worked...then at 6 months it stopped working completely.
lilbrudder
sorry guys, i knew about this for a few months now, it started over at this BMW forum http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=286 it's a pretty intresting situation, two of the vendors have been dropping their HID kit prices every couple weeks in competiton. i haven't bought them yet because they said by 2009 they were going to be like 30 bucks or something rediculous. akscooby
If I had the money and could do it over again, I'd either go with those, or if I had even more money a lightwerkz custom job. But, for the money, it's tough to beat the DDM's.

akscooby
Just purchased the 55w ddm with d2s bulbs and battery harness for $105, $120 after shipping. Thank you ddmtuning.com. Why the D2S? Just curious...I really don't know what they are. Thought they were for the high/low beam combo lights.
urs1ne
Why the D2S? Just curious...I really don't know what they are. Thought they were for the high/low beam combo lights. It the bulb OEM HID setups use, its usually much higher quality but there may be pattern issues using a D2S bulb in a housing made for a H7. More than likely I am going to do the full RX330 or S2000 swap for my headlights and if I do that the D2S bulb will make my headlights virtually OEM HID in light quality and durability. If I dont buy just the bulbs and adapters I will pick up that Phillips kit for $265 or whatever it is, thats a freaking steal, if I didnt already have HIDs I would be all over those. ^ n00bs below this line
