RyanE
Hi folks, I had the LGT (2005) up on four jackstands to facilitate rotating the tires and noticed that the right front (passenger side) shock was oily at the top. The other three were dry, and I didn't really worry about it that much, as I have had shocks that were a bit oily before on other cars. Anyway, I had to take the car to the dealer to have one of those small plastic access panels that snap into the engine undertray replaced, and asked them to take a look at the shock. 45 minutes of waiting later, I went to see what was going on, and the service people told me the shock was bad, probably had been bad since new, and they were going to order a replacement under warranty. I guess the moral of the story is that if you do your own maintenance, when the manual says "inspect stuff," inspect stuff. Has anyone else had a problem like mine? -Ryan
