I updated the top 20, adding new slips and removing a couple duplicates. BDII let me know if you don't think any of these should be on there because rules. Speaking of rules - lee07 - update your post with more deets and we'll get you on there.

I'll be running on the 3rd, hoping I can crack #20!

Well finally hit the 1/4 mile and not so impressed. Spoke with some muscle guys and did some reading. Cars are set up way differently. Tread is low on the AS, they drenched the staging area and apparently that is a big deal for street tires. Also had to wait in line so had heat soak. Next time I'll bring the lap top for better info. Also, I guess I shouldn't really complain as this is supposed to be an east "GT" car made for the cruising the highway. Not jumping off the line.

Have some questions. I have no clue if this is the original clutch, car is at 110,000 now. If I launch on the road the tires will spin, tires are worn, so I know the clutch is ok. How much of a difference can a new clutch make? Also, same with the tires.

Running a 14.2 in a "stage 2" car just seems wrong. I did have about a 3/4 tank, 18s, stock spare, 06Spec B seats. I am going to try and go back soon, ditch the spare, run early so I don't heak soak and see if that makes a difference. I will also be logging this time.

You know its questions like this that lead to 5 digit engine builds, right?

Your 60 foot time is 1.9 seconds? Perhaps that's the first thing to work on. many others are 1/3 that or better. 60 feet is about the distance of an 4 lane intersection. off the line, you should be dumping the clutch around 4000 to 5000rpm not slipping. And your foot goes to floor until the next upshift.

If you practice on the street, have a good lawyer on speed dial.

You can practice in your driveway with a timer app. The lights are either .4 seconds or .5 seconds apart on the tree. Car is off. Timer starts. At whatever the countdown is you release clutch and plant your right foot. There is probably an app for this too.

At about 10-20 hard launches, you'll be needing new parts.

Hmmm, 4000-5000 you say? I have been doing at least 5000 because I don't want to bog. Also I wasn't using the tree since that is for reaction time only. No influence on ET.

I have done probably around 20 hard launches, though they have been at higher RPM so maybe that's my saving grace.

thanks for the advice!

I've been 1.7 60's before. But my clutch is woreeeeee out. 1st to 2nd gear change is well... terrible. Sounds like I never shift just mows through the clutch. You say your going 14s with a stage 2 car? There's something wrong. Probably needs. Driver mod. I had a stock lgt and have bee. 13.90s with an air filter and catback.

Yea, I was consistent though. I am going to try differet RPM for launch. If that doesn't do it, I'll wait for new tires.

Its not your starting rpm that's problematic its you don't start revving until the light goes green. the car next to you is already revved up before the green.

Also can you tell them not to wet the burn out pit down or drive around?

Shifts seem slow. looks steering wheel moves a bit too (cell phone screen is hard to tell).

That last upshift costs you - what if you just keep it at red line until cross the line?

The tree is only for reaction time. I wasn't worried about the guy, i was just focused on trying to break 14. Not sure if that's what you are referring too. Unless, you are saying I need to hlod the rpm longer before I dump it.

okey dokey. first post is updated to have corrected times, using turkeylord's spreadsheet. I added 1/8 mile times for the 3 fastest 1/4 LGTs. Also added "proof" links for a few cars, including top 4 fastest.

If the proof link doesn't lead to the correct location, feel free to spam me with the correct link(s).

for future posts, following the template will get your post added sooner.

The proof links all go to the same location: O_vang's post.

I think you meant to say "Hey Boxkita, thanks for updating the first post with the current data. I'll help you sort out the links that are missing."

That said, I fixed the 3 quickest 1/4 proof links.
