tjohns20
My 2005 LGT passenger side power window is stuck down. Ive pretty much narrowed it down to a burnt out window motor. Does anyone know how to force it up manually? Has anyone replaced the window motor before? How do I do it?
PearlBlueGT
If you're mechanically inclined its not hard to do at all. Ive replaced a few. You can probably get used one off of local junkyard or eBay. I'd test it first to see if it still runs, maybe its faulty switch. Did your glass go up/down slow or it just quit all of a sudden? Usually motor won't just go out and it will go down fine cause there's no resistance but won't hardly go up cause of the weight of glass it has to push up. PearlBlueGT
Unplug connector that goes straight to motor and connect to battery and see if it works

PearlBlueGT
If it works both up and down then it's your switch
max
your switch or a terminal in the connector is pushed out. look inside and see if all terminals are of the same length or pull individual wires and see if they come out. Terminals should be locked in the connector.
