fweasel
IMO, no on the endlinks, yes on the reinforcement brackets. The stock endlinks have been sufficent for many, including myself. I had my car at the track a number of times this past summer. Some people have bent/broken, twisted the stock endlinks with upgraded bars, something you are not likely to do daily driving. They are a popular upgrade on my Nissan because the stock design can bind on the rear bar which prevents the bar from performing its intended duties. That's a big problem and an obvious upgrade. The reinforcement bracket solves what many believe to be a very weak OEM design. The stock mounting point is very flimsy and will likely compromise the performance of a stiffer bar such as Cobb. Not to mention a complete failure of that mounting point is also possible and more likely than an OEM endlink, IMO. ignore him, he'll go away. fweasel
the cobb sway set comes with the reinforcement brackets anyway Good point, one of the reasons I chose the Cobb rear bar. I see the bracket as a necessary upgrade along with the sway bar itself. ignore him, he'll go away.

Mr. Ed
No. endlinks no, brackets...only if you don't want the stockers breaking on ya and then you gotta pull it all apart again
TPLGT
How much beating do you need to do to break the stock brackets? Rehab is for quitters.
Billy Dagwood
I really don't understand why we're still talking about brackets - the cobb sway set you said you're going to buy comes with the reinforced brackets, so why would you decide not to use them? I mean, I can understand having the discussion for purely academic purposes, but practically speaking, the point is moot, right? The endlinks are a different matter, however. bull
the stock endlinks are about as thick as a pinky. just get the endlinks. torque the shit out of the front endlinks. cobb calls for 35 or 40 ftlbs, just not enough.
Deer Killer
~20k miles with cusco bars, everything is _fine_. I can pretty much jack the car up onto one wheel (don't ask) and nothing is strained or bent. The geometry and install of the bar will dictate whether or not you break anything, usually being the _wrong_ geometry.
EquinnoxX
Stock endlinks will clunk with thick bars.... just a heads up. So thats what that is ... lol. I'm ordering a set today.
Deer Killer
cusco bars will clunk because the hole in the bushings are too big, watch out for that too.
