Stock Stereo Problems

I saw a couple threads about this but none that really listed any solutions, i have a stock 08 legacy 2.5i that the stereo will only work like once a month, and at that only once, you turn the car off again and it's dead again. well deasd isnt the right word, the display come on and it'll spin cds and the track time will count and all that so it thinks its working, but nothing gets to the speakers. Where it does it from start up to turn off I don't think it's a wiring issue, since those are more likely to cause it to turn off when you go over a bump or something not when you cut power. As i said, I've seen a couple threads on this but none said what actually fixed it in the end. Any help for a new member would be greatly appreciated!

I had a similar issue a few years ago. I had to get the unit replaced. For the price of an OEM unit and install at the dealer you are about half way through a JDM conversion.

so did you replace it with a stock unit again? some of the previous threads implied that the problem continued after replacing the HU, though i think they used an aftermarket one.

Yes. I replaced with OEM and have not had the same issue again. My CD player in the OEM is out but I am now pursuing the JDM.
