ktm200
I happened to be waxing my car last week and wasn't paying attention. Got a good amount of wax on the sunroof trim and allowed it to dry . Anyone know of a good way to restore the trim to its original condition? I can't seem to get the damn stuff off.
FredBeans
Peanut butter will do the trick, or you can use any rubber/vinyl cleaner.
ktm200
Haha, definitely never would have thought of peanut butter. Do you let it sit for a while then just wash it off?

FredBeans
Correct, the oil in the PB is what does the trick. OCDetails told us about this a few years ago. Never had to try it because I always tape/mask when I polish/seal/wax.
Inigo Montoya
Agreed, peanutbutter might just do the trick (creamy, not chunky). The poorboys stuff, and I think there is something at the local stores called "Back to Black" out there as well, might be better if you have a whole lot of trim (like my wife's MINI's fenders, you probably want some sort of a product.
