Brock Samson
Yeah, zero fitment issues according to 2nd hand advice from usdm peeps using them. Why in the **** suby put shitty bars on usdm Legacies is beyond me.
SBT
^ Because they could. One more thing to add to the "why" list - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -

sab6300
Found a dealer in the great north that had a used set for $125. I was getting quoted $283 from most other dealers, for a new set. So even though I am getting them shipped from BC I am still coming out ahead. Can't wait until they get here.

sab6300
The bars came today, super easy to install. Here are the pics. Leonardo
Those are damn sexy!! No markings on the underside or the clamps that would indicate a manufacturer? I want a set now to replace my squareones. Those look more OEM than ours!
SBT
Looks very natural on the USDM LW. BTW - hard to determine orientation from the pics, but is the narrow edge of the cross-bar blade forward or aft? For reduced noise, believe the thick edge should be facing forward - ala a plane wing. Anyway - nice fit - looks great! - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -
Brock Samson
Awesome. Thanks for the pics, I will definitely be buying these ASAP. Leonardo, I'll keep you informed as to the best deal I find with shipping.
sab6300
I examined them before installing them, but I did not see any marking of any kind so sadly no. I also looked over the instructions they sent (in both English and French) to see if there was any manufacturing info, but no luck. As for SBT's question, I know very little about plane wings. But the sharp edge is facing front (see second picture below). And the smaller but thicker rounded edge is towards the back. I assume they go on the car this way because the Subaru badge faces forward (the instructions are kind of vague). I haven't noticed any wind noise at all which was my wife's major concern. Once they were installed my wife and I were on the highway with the radio off and still couldn't tell a difference in sound (with or without bars). The low noise might be due to the rubber strip which covers about about 90% of the top face of the bars. Note this set didn't come with any plastic strips to reduce noise like many of the other racks I've read about on this forum. Overall, I am very happy with my Canadian crossbar purchase and I can't wait until our roof mount bike racks get here, and then hopefully some nice weather No more laying the back seats down and stacking the bikes on their sides, getting chain grease on my interior. I have included two more pictures with a tape measure, it might help someone else out with what accessories that will attach to these bars. Note these bars are approximately 3" wide. http://www.scottabecker.com/newgallery/photos/Misc/My%20Place/Car/web/IMG_7243.JPG http://www.scottabecker.com/newgallery/photos/Misc/My%20Place/Car/web/IMG_7245.JPG
Leonardo
I have the Yakima Copperhead bike carriers (2) and I'll have to sell them or find an adapter to fit in these crossbars.

Beanboy
Mont Blanc doesn't offer longer bars correct? Fitment guide for the US model (Gripper) has bar widths tied to roof rail width. Can't seem to find any European pages that show that you can just buy the bars either. -B http://www.standardshift.com
brakemans
Anyone know if the Rola 59826 will fit on the wagon raised rails? It says it fits the Forrester, and looks like it might fit the wagon. Any ideas? http://www.rolaproducts.com/shop/details.asp?ProdID=59826&cat=2030
morganluke
Foresters and Imprezas are the same but you'll need to find ones that fit the Liberty/Outback
brakemans
The link for Subaru on the Rola site only includes the Forrester. Nothing for the Legacy/Liberty. Bummer... I kinda like the looks of the set up too.
