3.0 R bolt on proformance list

Its been tough to find parts that bolt up with no modification to the 3.0r I think that it would be helpful if we put the things we know fit in a list. Please post the part and manufactuer If you have a pic of the part in car that would be great thanks.

i'm in to watch this thread...i've only looking to see if there is anything worthwhile out there...I'll be working on an exhaust of my own after I actually purchase my 3.0R, dad has a full tig welding set at the house

 

so for now i'm looking at mild (if any) mods...I think the intake will be ok with a K&N drop in

 

like I said in another post, no mroe forced induction for me...i'm a cop magnet it seems

only bolt-0ns are headers for the EJ30D (with the single exhaust port on each head) they run about $2400.00and they are in Japan.

 

EZ30R and EZ36R will be a majority fabrication project. in the end you will have a sweet ride

Not trying to hijack this thread but is it worth spending so much money? I understand 3.0R is quite limited on performance stuff and they are quite costly.

If you plan on keeping your car a long time, it may be worth it. K2 gear has a supercharger, but it runs $6K.

 

I dropped the K&N filter in, and removed the white "bottle" in the fender well, called an intake resonator. That will get a lot more air across your filter. Not quite a CAI, but more, cooler air none the less.

Don't the Aussie's mod their 3.0's a lot? Well, a lot more than the US market does?

The the EZ30's handle boost quite well actually just take it to a GOOD tuner

Yup and a kakimoto racing air chamber (japan part) the EZ30R wasn't a performance oriented engine, it took a few crafty people to add a turbo and some good tuning to make the rest see the awesomeness

still a great engine i think. very smooth, balanced and quiet.

pretty sure axlebacks still bolt on without any issues, but they're not really performance parts....

from what i've heard you can use the axle back from a gt.

 

question is is there an intake that will fit or strictly just a K&N drop in filter the only option?

Anyone have a bolt on axel back on their car because i have heard that too but not seen it I just bought som parts from R- rev Hope to get them on soon

My butt dyno says it works, but only on part throttle response (initial kick)

 

The dyno will not show much (if any) maximum power/torque gain.

if only you haz a EZ30D but you could easily get EZ30R flanges and make that work but if you go that far you might as well build the whole header

any one know about suspension stuff sway bars shocks ect. are they the same as a gt or no

They are the same as the GT. GT, 2.5i, 3.0 all share the same suspension design, except that the Turbo front swaybar is different from the NA front swaybar. Rear sway design is the same across the board (but different models/model years/countries had different size swaybars).

Meth is always an option. Boost in octane, lower intake temps. It would provide a cheaper gain in power vs. a super charger.

apexjapan, from what I have seen we 3.0 guys can bolt on a invidia catback exhaust what about a bolt on intake kit (S1B03G42AKIT) from your site?

my question is does the SPT v2 exhaust for the 2.5 fit on our 3.0?

so is that intake from kakimoto worth buying or just waste of time?
