bomberlegacy
I tried to keep it somewhat cheap, it didn't exactly happen but it could be worse! SUPERBU
Looks good man. Nice simple set-up that should sound good. I wish I had the mechanical dash so I could install an aftermarket HU like you did. It would be sweet if you could somehow incorporate that small sub into the trunk either under the rear deck or in a side pannel. Maybe even fab an enclosure / amp-rack that slides into the spare tire well and keeps the spare tire. I'm a huge fan of 8" subs due to their speed and versatility. That 8w3 should only need around .25-.35 cu/ft I would think.
bomberlegacy
Yeah its a really small box. Ported too. People are always surprised when I tell them its just an 8 back there. The only thing I could think of is hanging it from the rear deck..but I don't mind it how it is now. Its small enough and rarely gets in the way. soloz2
Looks good. Once I get some more funds I'm buying a JL XD 500/3 and installing that under the passenger seat to power my CDT comps and Kicker sub. SUPERBU
I really miss my 8" subs. I use a JL 10w6v2 right now which is great but man the 8" subs are snappy. I had 4 of them in my last car and the kick drum felt like my wife smacking me upside the head.
bomberlegacy
Ha awesome. I have an older 10w3 in a sealed box in my other car and its no where near as quick on the kick drum as this 8. I love it. bomberlegacy
Old thread.. Upgrading subs now.. Dayton Ultimax 10 will he here in a couple days so we got the box mostly done today. My amp has been under the floor and it overheats so the goal was to upgrade speakers and get the amp out of the floor. I need to either carpet or put some sort of coating but the construction is complete.
