ResidentRedneck Posted April 15, 2013 Share Posted April 15, 2013 alright, so a while ago i posted about an oil smell, and its driving me crazy. recap, under hard acceleration in high RPMs. so far, ive thoroughly inspected the head-to-block area, and i have ZERO leaks. ive taken a bore scope to the cylinder walls, and they look beautiful after 200k miles. the car also smokes ZERO. ive cleaned the PCV valve. shook it, it makes a clunk, and i guess the spring seems a little weak so i guess ill replace that. but im at the end of my rope. god forbid i have to merge without getting a car full of oil smell. any more ideas? im thinking of running a thicker oil...
