SpecBamf41
car should still run and go. you just might not be able to open the butterflies all the way. BNR18g on 93oct
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted May 20, 2012 I Donated Share Posted May 20, 2012 You need to find out why the check engine light is on. Hook a scanner up to it and that will point you in the right direction. Just cause its an old car doesn't mean that light should be on. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." collier89139
So now the car will crank and it appears the battery is good bc the radio is working and holding the stations I have heard you can test the starter by hooking jumper cable directly to the starter screw and start it and it will tell you if you have a bad starter ANY THOUGHTS? I also wonder if it is the fuel pump?
Stasis
Have you had the code pulled as suggested first? The check engine light should not be on regardless.
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted May 20, 2012 I Donated Share Posted May 20, 2012 If it turns over then the starter is good. Go pull the codes. Until then, nobody can help you. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
