Deadleave
I had a dyno tune done on the 7/18 Been driving fine, did a log and learning view that whole week, no anomalies. Today I was driving and CEL pops, I cleared the reset the ECU, and CEL went away, and grabbed a quick learning view shot in the process. I didn't think knock was enough to throw a cell ? How severe is this knock, and by the looks of it, good thing I am scheduled for a re-tune on the 18th. Just asking to see if I can drive normally till the 18th or if I should just baby her till re-tune. thanks for any advice
keithk831
That -4.2 is very bad knock. Take it easy on the car until you tune that out.
McDowell Performance Tunin
Enable your DTC reader in learning view, so you can see what code is being thrown. www.facebook.com/mcdowelltuning [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Click Here for Stage1, Stage2 and Stage3 Tuning and eTuning Info
Deadleave
Thanks guys logan: I figured out the code was P0420......pre cat threshold error. Guess I just got lucky catching that severe knock due to the CEL. I am going to just disable that with ECUflash.

You need to tune out that knock or step down to a more conservative tune for the time being.
McDowell Performance Tunin
The P0420 is one of the codes you have to disable, if you remove a cat from your car. You need to adjust your tune, however. The good thing is you IAM is still at 1 www.facebook.com/mcdowelltuning [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Click Here for Stage1, Stage2 and Stage3 Tuning and eTuning Info
