Well, 6 pots at each corner, plus the biggie discs.....

Finally the car stops like normal....:)

can you give us any details on things like price, availability, how much modification it requires, if there is a kit, etc?

They look beautiful btw :)

Price: around 4K USD locally.

Availability: KIDO mostly sell in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore

Modification: The rotor dust shields need to be cut

Kit?: Mine is custom-built but now KIDO has all the data to put together a kit for 4th gen Legacy/Outback thanks to yours truly ;)

What I got?

Forged 6-pot calipers (4.6kg/ea with steel adapter)

15 inch (380mm) 2-piece vented front roters (slotted) 9.7kg /ea

14 inch (356mm) 2-piece vented rear rotors (slotted) 11.3kg/ea

Steel brake lines x4

Pads are included of course (they are the same as AP Racing)

The stock caliper weights around 10kg with pads

The stock front rotor weights around 8kg new

The stock rear rotor weights around 4.7kg new

So the complete front brakes are lighter than stock, but the complete rear brakes are heavier than stock due to the rear rotor being none-ventilated and small.

Observations:

1. no squeaks, vibrations so far

2. very easy to drive, feels like stock brake at light braking

3. brakes are still spongy, but better than stock

4. rear suspension is a little harsher due to increased un-sprung weight

Price: around 3.5K USD locally.

'Locally' being Taiwan, from the sign in the gas station...

Obligatory 'build thread' Increased capacity to 2.7 liters, still turbo, but no longer need spark plugs.

what about the e-brake?

I wouldvthink it retains it. The rear rotors are smaller and still heavier.

Looks really good and performs that way too I bet. Im thinking of putting 19s on my outback and I knew my brakes were going to look small but after seeing yours they are going to look extremely wimpy

Well, if you have a magnifying glass, they are visible....

ET40 :)

But Legacy requires something like ET-45

Yeah for an 8" wheel, you'll want to run ~ET40-45 to keep everything centered hub-wise. Stock ET is 48 on OB 3.0R
