Omen
I still have the RE92s on my car and I now have about 23k on my LGT because I don't have the money to buy new tires right now. Recently the tire noise whether at low speeds or at highway speeds has gotten pretty damn bad to the point where it is really starting to annoy me. I have checked the tire pressure and it is find 35psi front 33psi back and I have tried other combinations with no resolution to the sound. Is this a character of the tires that I have to deal with until I replace them or should I take it in to the dealer (who probably won't do a damn thing about it)? To those that still the these tires do you get excessive tire noise on the highway?? Thanks
deneb
I have 10k on my LGT, road noise is somewhat bothersome on coarse, worn out concrete pavement, but not bad on smooth pavement. I doubt a dealer will replace tires because they're worn and possibly generate more road noise as a result. What else have you tried to reduce road noise? I'm contemplating going to http://www.bquiet.com/ and purchasing some of their b-comp product (http://www.bquiet.com/vcomp.html) It worked well on my last car for reducing road noise when installed behind the door panels.
