zavar
Hello all, I'm in the process of picking up an 06 LGT, a bit of an upgrade from my 97 LGT . I'm wondering if the 16" rims from the 97 LGT will fit on an 06 LGT (thinking of using them for snows)? Anyone tried this? Thanks in Advance
rao
They will not clear the front brakes. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT

Claw
You could grind down your calipers like this guy: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31703&highlight=grind+brakes
Xenonk
the caliper acts as another heat sink to the brake system.. taking off already small floating caliper is really not worth it just to squeeze a set of 16" rims on. why ruin a perfectly good set of brakes? There's no real good reason to downsize the rims when the car has a lot of weight to do deal when it comes to braking. A simplier mod would be just swapping the front brakes and rotors off a 2.5i or WRX for that matter. Keefe
zavar
Thanks guys. Modifying the brakes doesn't really seem worth it to salvage an old set of rims. I guess it gives me a good excuse to buy aftermarket rims for snow tires, or use the stock ones for snows and buy others for the summer. Any suggestions on snow tire sizes? Would likely be looking at getting Nokian RSI, any other suggestions?
