Went to the Cars & Coffee meet in Irvine this morning. If you have never been, you must go. It's on every Saturday at the PAG Campus (Ford Mo. Co.) near the Irvine Spectrum starting at 7AM to 9AM. There are hundreds of cars, and each week, you will always find something different that you've never seen before.

Here are a few pics I took of some cars... Enjoy!

Thanks for the comments so far. It's been a while since I have been, but I am tempted now to go more often.

Jon, some cars do arrive on trailers. Well, very few. The only cars I saw this time leave on a trailer were the Ariel Atoms. Other than that most people drive their cars there since most people live in the vicinity. Historical vehicles, race cars, etc. It was amazing to hear how loud some cars were.

My favorite part of the meet was at the end when everyone was leaving. I'm all about car shows, but seeing and hearing them go is a petrolhead's dream. This time we got lucky in that there were no cops around. They don't allow burnouts, so no one did any except for the yellow Skyline, but other people just punch it a little in first/second when taking off and that's just as sweet.

man that is nice. is it any/all cars allowed in the lot? or is there a lot for viewers and a lot for the "bling" cars?

ha, found a post about the yellow skyline burning out.

Haha yeah I saw that thread. I quite liked it, but I understand that most people don't want it because it may lead to the event shutting down.

There is a spectator lot and parking garage. As for what cars are allowed in the exhibitor lot, I believe almost anyone can get in. The people who show their cars there arrive at like 6AM or earlier. The show starts at 7AM and the lot is usually full already by then.

was also reading around and it seems that some of the show guys look down on none uber cool/ expensive cars being parked in the "show" lot....

which to me, tells me that there is some elitism going on. this already tainted my perception of the car show

My response to that is who cares what other people think. As I mentioned above, quality is in the eye of the beholder. Most of the people there are like-minded, mature adults. It's not like you have to like every car there. There will always be haters. Everyone wants to a part of it and this is the place where they can be. For the most part, everyone comes together and it's pretty much a big petrolhead family.

That's awesome, and nice pics too.

I would love to check something like that out

Thanks Heights! There is going to be an official event in Las Vegas beginning next weekend, so if you are ever there and have nothing better to do at 7AM on a Saturday morning, well, you know the drill.

What no Leggies?

That Testarossa makes me cry, although the proportions look funny to me. Me thinks it is a Fiero in disguise.

I saw a Legacy in the parking lot . It's a Fiero I think. It was parked in the spectator lot hahaha.

Sweet pics Ben! So I see you finally went there after talking about it for so long.:) Yeah that yellow R34 is the kind of jerk that'll get the event shut down!

But no love for my buddy's modded Noble M400 & 500+ hp 996 Turbo?:(

 I have pictures of the Noble, but there were people in the way ruining the shot :(. Others didn't turn out good or I just didn't want to edit them.

I will be back in a few weeks! It was definitely a fun event.

Amazing they can pull off such a cool event on such a regular basis. Lucky you!!

Believe it or not, this isn't the original location. The original was in a parking lot at a Crystal Cove, Newport Beach shopping center. After a few years, it got too popular for its own good (hundreds of spectators) and store tenants kicked them out. Ford/Mazda-PAG Campus offered to host the event, now called Cars & Coffee, at their location beginning last year.
