ycpgirl88
Hi, I have a 2004 Subaru Legacy, and today I stupidly was trying to pry the thing off with tiny screwdrivers, it was working til I noticed it looked like major extra adhesive around the center, maybe a bolt there? I don't know. I just want to get it off to possibly change the background color. Help!
Gmoe
Not sure if that gen has a screw behind it or not. Remove the grille and take a look? 05+ has nothing but a ton of double sided sticky tape.
ycpgirl88
how would i get the grill off to check it?
Siper2
Most Subie front badges were always attached with tape. Take a small flathead screwdriver, and GENTLY see if you can pry up the edge. But if you want to check first, there's instructions on the site here for how to remove the grille.
ycpgirl88
i actually did the like smallest flat head and it was coming off around the edges but the center was being way stubborn so i stopped. i'll check for the removing grille directions
markbrotens
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the badge for a couple of minutes. The tape should let go a lot easier.
