Hecubus
This post is just isn't so much technical, but curious to what anyone else has experienced this. My 07 Legacy recently lost all power. I got misfire codes on cylinder 2 and 4, and a code about Low Engine Idle (don't remember exactly). Long story short, the insides of my front Cat have disintegrated. I pulled off the mid pipe and a few big chunks and tons of dust fell out. After putting the mid pipe back on, the car is now drivable, but with decreased power still. So I'm guessing the rear cat is clogged too. I have a new front cat on the way, and probably soon a rear one too. I've never heard of the insides of a Cat deteriorate like that. Anyone else? kirshnerd
If your car is stock, check your downpipe cat too. You may want to check your turbo and see if its all good as well. If your downpipe cat breaks down and blows into your turbo you could likely have serious problems.
Hecubus
No turbo. The downpipe (manifold) is the one I'm going to be replacing.

Hecubus
Subaru Warranty is 8yr/80K and I'm at 147K. Good suggestion though.
LongHiway
In Mass they had to extend the warranty to 10 years, maybe 120 K - I forgot. But, I got a free replacement at around that.
