B-BGTLimited
Ok, I just got done installing the Z17 Powerstop brake pads and they are shipped with abutment clips with the pads. Now the clips included are two of one kind, and two of another. SO one would assume that one goes on the top and a different one goes on the bottom of the abutment bracket, but that just doesnt seem to be the case. I had to re-use the ones I had in there which I belive were the OEM ones and were identical top to bottom. I'm talking to powerstop about the issue to see if they have a listing wrong or something and he is trying to tell me that the GT has two different abutment clips and the 2.5i has identical clips so maybe my car has 2.5i brakes on it... LOL yeah if it did then the 12.5" rotor I just bought wouldn't have fit you dope... SO can anyone else verify that the abutment clips are identical on the 2.5GT setup? here is a picture of the front brakes from the first time I did them, I re-used whatever clips were there because I don't think the thermoquiet pads had new ones. And I re-used them once again due to this screwup... you can see the clip just barely in the pics, its the dirtiest part on the bracket... that tab that is sticking out is NOT on the second style of clips I got with the Powerstop pads. http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh201/3400modified/Leggy/IMAG0167.jpg here is the extra clips that I have that will not fit into the bracket without bending and then most likely hanging up the pad. http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh201/3400modified/Leggy/20140725_155726_zpsnbdgonpl.jpg http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh201/3400modified/Leggy/20140725_155704_zpsmuuzrqtz.jpg
