respect23
I have a 07 LGT, stage 3 +. I'm looking for someone who tunes with EcuTek anywhere on the east coast, preferably Tri State Area. I am willing to travel though if they can do a good job with my car. I've had it tuned with someone who just doesnt seem to get it right. My car keeps stalling out, and isn't running the way I want it to. Any help would be great, thanks
Infamous1
You really should have the ECUtek pulled from the ecu then opt for the Cobb AP. This will open up your tuner options. There are very few ECUTek dealers nowadays and even fewer who actually have the require cable to flash the 07+ CANbus vehicles.
TPLGT
+1...I did it. BTW, the V2 AP will write over the Ecutek tune. Rehab is for quitters.

respect23
Thats my problem, is i already paid for the license and dont wanna waste too much more money. But are you sure about the AP V2 being able to write over the Ecutek? That way i can have both but just use the AP?

Infamous1
i'm not trying to bash anyone, i'm just not happy with how my car is running and i'm looking for options thats all No bashing please.... But yes TPLGT did just write over his ECUtek tune with his AP v2. I have heard good and bad things about almost every tuner across the county so I have no input there

No more Ecutek though...so if you buy the AP you need to know that the Ecutek liscense is 'sunk cost'. In my situaion I was screwed...no Tuner in a reasonable difference and my car was running pretty bad. The AP was the solution to my problems. Sucks to throw away cash. Rehab is for quitters. respect23
so do you guys really think i would be ok with just getting AP v2 and not bother getting rid of the EKUtek license or tune?
respect23
in other words, should i even bother getting the license and tune removed? and then just go and get AP
respect23
also, whose good around here tuning 07 lgt with AP?
Infamous1
Depending on your mods you may still need to see a tuner. I not sure if your still running that FP Green.
respect23
I have a different set up now, simpler. I kept the built motor and have a GT30, DW 720 injectors, SPT intake, Borla Cat back, MR up and dp
respect23
wait, so you guys were saying i could buy the AP and not need it professionally tuned? Just download a map?
TPLGT
I think so^^ You would most likely wnat to have PDX or TA put together a map for you. If you can, get the protune.... Rehab is for quitters.
05pearl
If you're running a GT30, I think you will want to invest in a pro-tune.

respect23
what about North coast subaru? they do ecutek for the 07+
05pearl
Ecutek lists them on their site, so it may be worth a try. They also list XX Tuning in CT at 860.291.8808 I'd give each a call, tell them your situation and see if they give you any level of comfort on the phone.
