SilverGSX
Just looking at pictures I can't tell if this is totally normal or not. When your low beams are on, do your high beams glow dimly? I used the JDM harnesses spliced into the US wiring like all the write-ups say and yet when I see pictures of others setup I don't notice the same high beams glowing dimly when the low beams are on. It is making me run into issues when I try to wire in my DDM HIDs. Is this normal? or is something wrong here...
monkeyposeur
Something is wrong. I had the same problem but I don't remember what was causing it. All I remember is that it took me hours and hours to figure it out. I had just wired something up wrong. I wish I could give you a better answer. SilverGSX
Good times. It looks neat and I was hoping it'd stay working like that with HIDs but apparently not. After googling and lots of searching it looks like the highs are not supposed to be lit whatsoever when the lows are on, so something's awry. I hooked up the wiring like all the other diagrams show though, so I have no clue why it'd be doing this... power feeds power, high connected to high, low connected to low. Why is the high getting current when the low is on?
twisty
only thing i can think of is a weak or bad relay leaking power when its not supposed to. id switch the two relays (hi/lo) and see if the problem moves with it.
SilverGSX
One side was wired incorrectly. Red/blue to red and vise versa. Swapped those wires and problem solved.
monkeyposeur
I told you something was wired wrong! The same thing happened to me. It sucked. I checked it over and over and over, lol. I'm glad you figured it out.
