stepinrazor
Im helping my buddy swap out his tob and clutch. We got all the bolts out and cracked the tranny and engine but can't get it out. Anyone near hawaiian gardens who can lend a hand? Or have any suggestions? John 714-907-4266
ultimakf7
Make sure the downpipe and/or turbo is in the way. Also make sure to pop out the halfshafts from the tranny. I tried doing it without popping out the halfshafts and got nowhere.
stepinrazor
Thanks ultimate I think that's where we're at? What's the easiest way to get the axle off?
ultimakf7
Use a pry bar or a sturdy long screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the halfshafts. You can also use a hammer to assist removal.
ultimakf7
You may find that the halfshaft won't remove completely. If you need to, you can unbolt the control arm/hub assembly to remove the halfshafts easier.
