rayeve
My wife had to stop in an emergency stop yesterday in her 2005 Legacy to avoid broadsiding an idiot. She says when she then put her foot on the accelerator, the car bogged very badly as if it were going to die before finally accelerating normally. It's only done this on this one occasion. Anyone got any idea of what could cause this. (The car if a non-turbo with about 130,000 on it. But it's in good tune otherwise).
12sechatch
possibly something to do with the vacuum lines and the brake booster. brake booster uses vacuum. loose/unhooked vacuum lines can cause the symptoms you speak of. I'm just guessing....
jp233
5MT or 4EAT ? If 5MT, brakes only or did she mash the clutch. If no clutch, it would be more obvious
Max Capacity
How much gas was in the tank ? It's a wild guess. If she dose that more often, the ECU will re-learn that and compensate for it... 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). frank_ster
it can be the "bucket" in the gas tank just got most of the gas spilled out of it. can take a few seconds before the jets get it filled back up again. the pre 93 cavaliers and gm's were realy bad for that. under hard deceleration or accelerations the pumps can get uncovered and suck air. Now that's thinking out of the boxer! fyi all 05 + legacy's have built in code reader
