Black08LGT
Hey guys I bought a car off ebay back in Feb 2011, it was a wreck (salvage) and I got it for a decent price. My dad fixes cars for a living so the thought of buying a wrecked car sight unseen didn't bother me too much. From the looks of the auction pics the car looked stock....but once I got it to my dads shop it was apparent it was not. I was hoping maybe someone on here would be or know who the previous owner was. I've tried to go through mysubaru.com and contacted the dealership I *thought* the car was purchased at but got nowhere. Copart who originally sold the car to the place on ebay I got it from wouldn't give me any info either. Here's some info that might narrow the search. Stuff the car had on it when I got it: -08 OBP LGT LTD (55k miles at time of accident - 1 owner car) -Smokers car (finally got the smell 99% out) -Perrin catless DP -Perrin turbo inlet -Perrin crank pulley -GP Moto ELH integrated catless up -Elcheapo MBC I mostly want to contact the previous owner because I was wanting to get some history on the car and maybe determine what if anything else they had done to the car performance and maintenance wise. Plus it would be kind of cool to see what a small world we really live in. Pics as the car was in its wrecked state attached. The last pic is it fully restored and Infamous stage 2'ed -Mike

Black08LGT
U did a great job man! Just out of curiosity what mileage it was, what price u got it for and was it hard to fix? miles: -08 OBP LGT LTD (55k miles at time of accident - 1 owner car) cost (not including repair): After tax and shipping right around 10k repair: on a scale of 1-10 (10 being, "Why not just junk this POS?") I would say it was about a 3. We replaced everything with OEM Subaru replacment parts except for the headlights & fog lights. The radiator and air intake were upgraded to Mishimoto and Cobb SF intake and airbox. Both fenders were repaired so the only parts replaced were the hood, front fascia, radiator upper support and vertical baffles. The car was marked salvage but the bags never blew so we figured it wasn't hit all that hard and most of the damage was up high and didn't encroach the motor too bad. The accessory drive belt got cut up so we also had to replace that. Glad to see cars like this fixed and put back into commission! Great job! Thanks Boston Motorsports! ----------------------------------------------------------- A better photo from the park this past weekend: http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=104099&d=1313631921

Black08LGT
Looks good! Where in MA you from? Thanks BMX045! I live in OH actually. Bought the car from an eBay dealer in PA. They got the car from a Copart auction in Ma. The title shows origional and only owner as being from MA. -Mike
rice_rocket
Wow looks great, and I love those wheels! I honestly think that you just have a car that was lightly modded at best.. a new intake, and a boost controller and wheels. Window tint.. and thats about it. I can't see the exhaust, but since I can't see it, either it's tucked in nice, or it's stock. Whoops, I missed the portion where you mention the exhaust pieces... looks like you also got the infamous stg2 tune. I think you're all set! I've personally never seen that car around, I always look for them around here.......

pre-dent
Seems like you could have just bought a stock used LGT with a clean title for the same amount of money you had to put into this one. But we're in the car hobby because it's fun and not because it's always economical. The end result turned out nice!

pre-dent
You're probably right, I didn't read that it was taken care of at his dad's shop. Otherwise that looks like a real costly repair.

I have yet to find another 08 for cheaper than I paid. Granted, 55k is kind of high mileage for 3 year old car. I just really liked the fact that it was a one owner car.
