So I will be picking up(hopefully) a 05 OBXT. I plan on running some LGT coilovers or LGT struts and springs. As far as wheels go, I want to run a 18x9.5 +40 or +35mm offset with 235/40-18 tires. What will I need to do to make them fit? I dont plan on going too low. I am new to the OB/legacy game. Coming from a 06 wrx...

My setup is 18x9.5 +35 with 225/40/18 lowered on fortune auto's (probably going on sale soon). http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04/11/c04af64552e9b23024751939d2f8caf5.jpg

In order to "fit" these I need to:

-roll fenders

-pull fenders (pulled fenders severely)

And I say "fit" because I still rub a little on big bumps ( this will depend on your spring rates as well). I really all depends on how low you want to go in the end. If you want to go pretty low though with a setup like that, keep in mind your fender liners will no longer exist unless you get stiff springs. So at minimum I would say you would need to roll the fenders and pull them. I remember correctly the obxt has the same room as the Lgt's inside the fender (Someone correct me if I'm wrong). I believe the obxt fenders are Lgt fenders with molded flares that are for ascetics since the inside of the flares are blocked off by the original fender, if that makes any sense.

So unless you cut the inner part out you will be looking at running similar setups as the lgts.

Thank you for the help. I don't plan on going too low really, most likely I will end up running the factory LGT struts and springs, maybe a mild drop spring. So between a 2"-3" drop. Would rolling still be required? I am ok with rolling but would like to avoid pulling lol.

Nice pick up. I'm running staggered offset 18x10 VS-XXs on my WRX. They were originally 18x8s though.

It's cool; I'm with the band
