Intermittent stalling-06 lgt

Recommended Posts

Stalling intermittently happens when coming to a stop-car in neutral or clutch disengaged. I have noticed that sometimes the tach will drop to almost zero and then recover. The the motor was going to stall but changed it's mind.

Occurence has increased dramatically with the very hot weather in NJ the past few days. Does this give any more info as to what is causing it? I have a list from the club of areas to look into but nothing definite. One suggestion was to clean or replace the ocv's. How would oil control valves cause stalling?

You should stick with one thread man, if anyone was watching it, they wont know if you keep starting new ones..

lets see- oil control valve- they control oil- oil controls timing- timing helps engine run properly- bad timing- bad running

hot weather also could lead to heat-soak- common on cars with TMIC..

Have you done any testing at all? if not we can toss up ideas left and right, but if you havent checked any of them...??

do you have cobb AP, you may be able to increase idle RPM a little to make it not soo bad
