My 2003 Outback Sport had one under the hood. But yeah, as much as I dislike it, fuel filters have been replaced by sealed up socks and screens in the tank. DonnyJagaru Posted September 10, 2015 Share Posted September 10, 2015 FWIW, some people say you shouldn't run your fuel tank down low before refilling as it'll clog up the fuel lines with sediment.
