mach250
I'm starting to wonder if I should just start looking for good GT's. What are the differences of 2008/2009's?
lucas569
http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=59996&d=1227055127 that's what you'll feel in the SPEC B (oh and it cures most cancers)
nospmoht04
I know that in '07 Spec.B's you're getting a great 6 speed tranny very similar to an STi tranny, Torsen Limited Slip Differential, aluminum control arms, 18" wheels, Bilstein front inverted struts, fully loaded with touch screen navigation, and a pretty sweet interior. nospmoht04
well the other 2 pics of the exterior didnt upload but there's mine.
mach250
gt doesnt have the navi option? only interior I like with the spec b is the black on black, don't really like the blue color. Think the gt is just a 5spd as well right? How much of a different in power am I looking at from a B4 to a Spec-B? Are they comparable?
nospmoht04
Wheels when I first bought the car a year ago, pre-lowered.
nospmoht04
Spec.B and GT are gonna give you the same power. No I don't think any GTs come with nav and they are all 5 spds yeah
nospmoht04
I dont know much about the B4 so I'm not sure.
mach250
b4 276hp 253lb/ft 5.9 0-60 3284lbs spec-b 243hp 241lb/ft 5.1 0-60 3500lbs makes me want to find some weight savings or raise the power a bit
axis008
Are you from Okinawa, Japan? The spec.B's in America are different than the ones in Japan. That's why there's a power/weight difference in what you posted above. -ben
Max Capacity
The gearing in the Spec B's makes it feel a bit quicker. You'll want to add Cobb AP and go to stage 1. The Spec is the car Subaru should have made in the first place. Notice all the 5th gen Legacy's with manual tranny's get a 6 speed. Stupid Subaru, took them how many years to figure that one out.The only let down is the crappy Harmon Karden radio. See the other threads recently about that. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Stupid Subaru, took them how many years to figure that one out.The only let down is the crappy Harmon Karden radio. See the other threads recently about that. The 6-speed in the 5th gen is NOT the same (or even remotely close) to the 6-speed in the 4th gen Spec B. The new 6MT is a closer relative of the 5MT than it is the older 6MT. The 06 Spec-B is a pointless purchase, IMO. At least in 07-09, you get a good transmission. The 06 Spec-B is not nearly different enough from a standard GT to be worth the extra money, especially on the used market. If you are in Japan, asking about an American version of the car isn't going to tell you much. bmx045
Spec.B and GT are gonna give you the same power. No I don't think any GTs come with nav and they are all 5 spds yeah Navigation was standard in all Spec B's, it was also an option in GT's with automatics. Yes, the GT came in 5spd auto and 5spd manual in every year 2005+....atleast in the U.S. that is
