ehjhey
Hey guys, So currently I own an 08 2.5i, but recently I've been toying with the idea of switching up to a GT. Don't get me wrong, I'm entirely in love with my car, but something Manual with a little more kick seems to be more "Me" anyway, the major trouble is that there aren't many 2008-2009 Gt's in my area for sale....so I was wondering if my only issue with the 2005-07 models could be remedied by sticking a 08-09 bumper over on one. I can't remember where, but i think I saw this before...
Manchito
Front and Rear ? I have seen rear conversion like this -> http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/my-06lgt-limited-w-08-09-conversion-clean-161586.html?t=161586&highlight=08-09+conversion -> http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/05-08-rear-bumper-and-taillight-conversion-97312.html But for the front , i have no clue @_@
muajg
I think once you get the manual tranny and turbo power you won't car too much about the front bumper difference! But to be honest I think it's easier to go aftermarket than to convert to an 08+ look on an 05. Plus there are so many more choices aftermarket. GEE-OTTO
You would need a 08 hood, fenders, and bumper to complete the look. Not sure if you want to drop that much coin on a face lift
ehjhey
thanks for the replies, I probably WOULD be willing to shell out for the face lift actually. unless there's an aftermarket option that gives it a similar look By the way, no interest in a rear conversion. I actually prefer the 05-07 rear to the 08-09 =\
GEE-OTTO
in that case you can score the body panels fairly cheap just keep an eye out for a wrecked 08-09 on these forums. New parts aren't that bad either with the hood costing the most of the needed parts.
ehjhey
actually, now that I'm taking a look, I'm really liking the JDM conversion idea. Anyone got an idea on how much the whole process usually set's you back?

dsickles
you do not need a new hood, 05-07 and 08-09 hoods are the same
