98quiksilvergt
For my 98 LGT, I know the engine will swap just the same but. What about the the tranny, axles, hubs, brakes and all that?

98quiksilvergt
Hahaha!! I think that's gonna be fun regardless of year. Or is there an easier year that you would recommend? What's the most common?
TK-801
most common is 04 sti. its the only on that is still cable throttle
98quiksilvergt
I like the idea of a throttle cable. Less work then the "wire" pedal.
Platinum_Racing
Drive by wire is always a pain in the ass. Nevermind all the other wiring. I hate wiring. That and hodge-podging vacuum hoses are my least favorite automotive chore. Stick with the tried and true. There are dozens of 04 swaps you can read about online. 09 is another story. 98quiksilvergt
Yeah it was just a thought. 8,100 miles. Salvage title. Complete car. Rear end damage.
bengt
well if you have a donor car, thats a different story, itll still be a b**ch but at least you wont have to go and hunt down random ass parts like me for my 03 WRX swap! haha. id love to have a shell sitting around. the hardest part like they say is the wiring but is there a chance the dash could go in your car semi easily? thatd be the ticket. 98quiksilvergt
That would be sick! I'm pretry good with wireing and electrical stuff. My biggest concern is with the suspension, rear diff, and brakes. I want to be able to do a full swap ya know.....
