Legacsti11 Posted October 25, 2013 Author Share Posted October 25, 2013 Well if your going to do that you would need injectors, Fuel pump and a tune. As far as the tranny holding up it's the weakest link on the car next to the bottom end of the motor. I broke my tranny pretty good and got it built and knock on wood it's lasted me 9k miles. I'm redoing it though cause they lied and said I had parts in it that I don't so I can't finish my tune till I do redo it the right way. Anyways I think if it's your wifes car you should be fine cause chances are she probably won't beat the crap out of it for it to blow the tranny although I could be wrong and she could be a pro @ the track lol. I would say if you don't beat on it too bad like power braking and launching it out tranny should hold up pretty good. Launches will put a lot of stress on the tranny causing it to break like I did. I paid $600 for the car, Had my Mechanic Whitey flat bead it to his shop and do all the work. I also picked up 09 LGT 17inch rims and put brand new all season tires on them. I wasn't a fan of having 16inch rims. I still am driving the impreza till the Blue leggy is done then im giving the Impreza to my mechanic as payment for doing the clutch, Built motor and redoing my tranny on my Silver Leggy GT. We bartered because I have been getting work done by him for a while now and a lot of work, I bring him business and we are close friends so that's how the Barter deal went down. where did you find such a great deal?!? I got the Deal here on Long island NY from a guy I work with. That's where it fit best without cracking it or modifying it. I bought my Cobb radiator shroud from someone on this forum and the Hoses are Blue. I chose Blue cause my intercooler pipes, oil cap and block are blue.
