A few problems with 97 LGT

Recommended Posts

1. AC doesn't work, possible broken hose.

2. Oil leak, might be valve gasket or drain plug. Last owner pressure washed the engine compartment.

3. Abs light on. Told it's a wheel speed sensor.

4. Air bag light on....

5. Check engine light. Haven't checked codes yet.

1: Could be a lot of things unfortunately :/

2: I'm sure you'll see once you start driving it further

if it's valve cover gaskets or the plug. Just gotta wait

it out. Fortunately they did pressure wash it so now you'll

be able to tell exactly where it's coming from :D

3: That's possible. I believe they plug into the hub. It may

be unplugged, missing, frayed. I would just check around the

hubs.

4: Remove light bulb from cluster.

5: That's something I'd definitely check out. Hopefully it's something stupid.

AC was an o-ring. Someone put the wrong one in. I replaced it (and now have 239 spare o-rings :/) and added 20oz of r-134a but still isn't blowing cold. The compressor now kicks on though.

Engine light comes and goes

Air bag light turned off.

I am pretty sure the oil leak is at the drain plug.

Is it leaking into the passenger compartment?

Yeah...probably the knock sensor or something. You'll probably just have to try and catch it when it's on. Have the plugs ready or something.

That's weird :/ I wonder what happened.

Probably the crush washer been used too many times. If it's not there it may be the front or rear main seal also.
