rocket
The car is sweet. I have owned both the sedan and wagon 05 lgt. This thing is so tight. I hope the made in japan eliminates all the rattles. I still have the wagon and while cross shoping the 08 lgt sedan the dimentions were almost the same and the wrx ended up costing me invoice minus 500. I also was saving 1500 of suby bucks and 750 loyality from subaru. Out the door 23,900 plus tax minus the 2250 is 21400 I am glad it does not come with that stupid knob with 3 levels of power. Overall the car seems to be the lgt with several nice update for quite a bit less. The wagon looks plain stupid so sedan it is. made in japan not indiana flamers keep your torches down until you test drive the new impreza stick
sexylegacy
Well, my respect for the new WRX just went up a notch. I was not aware at all that they were made in Japan. At least Subaru did SOMETHING right for 2008. Congrats on the new ride. Did you get the premium one with NAV?? Also, put up some f'in pictures!!! praedet
The standards at SIA are the same as in Japan... I have been in "Japanese" WRXes that rattle, and SIA LGTs and Tribecas that don't In fact, SIA is actually considered soverign Japanese soil
red beast
In fact, SIA is actually considered soverign Japanese soil if it was then they would say they were made in japan
praedet
Trust me, ask mccorry or Rao, they were on the same tour. It is Japanese soil so there are no "import" taxes on cars that are built and returned to the assembly line

red beast
boston is a port for subaru. it where all, at least east coast cars, go before they "hit" the dealers systems computers. it is where they can add all the subaru accessories at a lower cost than the dealers. even the legacys go through there from the factory. rjundi
Congrats on your new car! On rattles my 2004 WRX wagon(40k miles) has a rattle on the plastic cowl over the top of steering column and the rear hatch creaks/rattles a bit. Our 2005 Legacy GT Wagon 5MT(37k miles) does not have a single rattle in it. I believe in theory none are designed to rattle and its pure luck. Our previous Civic's rattled from the get go. One was even built in Japan while the other North America.
