apexjapan Posted July 23, 2012 Share Posted July 23, 2012 It may detect blow-by in some country, somewhere. Here in the states (and in Japan) it's just a fancy piece of plastic that does nothing but provide a passover for the wiring harness plug on it. You can just leave it as it is and tie it off to the side, or unclip it and run a wire across from one plug to the next. I have since found out, but the directions say to cut the tube, insert the 90 fitting, and no mention of the plastic plug at all after that.
