crazyravr
Here is my story... I now have 78K miles on my LGT. The only thing I ever did to maintain the car is synthetic oil every 8K miles. The only problem I had was with the rear wheel bearing. Should I do anything specific at this time, maintanance wise, to keep the car going the way it is now (change fluids, plugs, belts etc)? What say you?

I think its likely every 8k kilometers given he is living in Canada. That is very a reasonable 5k miles.

crazyravr
Yea I change my oil at 8k miles. I got oil tests done and even this is an overkill but why not. I drive a lot and 95% hwy. There is no need to change it any sooner.

slushboxgt
Spoke with a big Subie fan who has owned fifteen of 'em over the years, and works in the service dept at a Subie dealer. He said that it is not uncommon for the turbos to fail on the LGT's, so to be very very sure to do the oil changes at the recommended intervals, and to be certain to keep receipts as proof.
