LED headlights?

That is what I thought too. It appears he is just looking for LED stips...

It will be awesome if we can get a full headlight LED conversion like the new Audi A8. I am sure kits will be available sooner than later.

I'd consider them @ 350/set. But I'd rather have quad projectors instead of the reflector portion.

  • 1 month later...

The DOT does not approve anything.

Things can be DOT compliant, but never DOT approved. I tend to take "DOT approved" with a grain of salt, that the product might be shitty.

You're right, they're DOT compliant.. they exceed two of their standards, not sure which ones, and I wouldn't know what that means anyways.

FWIW, the US Army uses those 7" LED headlights on a lot of their vehicles.. I've seen a few trucks with them, and there's a few videos of them on Youtube. I've seen them at their booth at a truck show a few years back.

I was considering this earlier today. Haven't disabled my DRLs yet, but once disabled are is there a light that stays lit (example - parking lights).

I would prefer to run the LEDs all the time without wiring them to a switch.
