Gauging interest in the axle-back market. There aren't many options out there for just mufflers. They look great and sound great for both the NA and turbo crowd. They would bolt right up to the Y-pipe.

Only vote above if you would consider buying mufflers (assuming they look good, sound good, price is reasonable, etc). I am just gauging interest on how big the market is. With interest comes new products :)

You can also post your requests or ideas here in this thread.

I am very interested in getting an axle-back for my 2000 LGT Sedan, I'm not looking for a can, but something more like a cobb muffler, 3.5" tip...

I can't find much useful information for 3rd gen exhaust options, everyone seems to be into 4th gens. I just want something that sounds nice a deep, with a rumble, lets me know the car is still running at idle.....I can't tell besides looking at the tach with the stock muffler.

I'm partial to a dual-rolled tip setup that fits the cutout nicely. If the tips looked similar to stromung, or even the tips on the new WRX & STI sedans, but sized and spaced properly that they tuck up nicely into the cutouts.

would you be willing to offer a product for the Outback owners? We have a downward facing tip and a lower hanging system because of the suspension spacers that are not used in the GT's. I'd like to keep the sleeper vibe of my xt that looks stock in the outside.

I am sure as car donors come available there can be a product / kit for the Outback owners.

12 people have said they would buy thus far. Thanks for voting.

Bump for more interested parties :)

So is this going to be a quad tip or just dual?

They would be what the market determines. If you guys want quad, you get quad. If you want dual you get dual. If there is enough interest shown, both options might be possible.

Again, this is a gauging interest thread... development has not begun yet. If the interest is there, which it seems to be, options will be developed / prototyped, and eventually presented as products.

I should also add that I posted this gauging interest thread for someone else who will be ultimately be making and selling these. At that point I will step out of it. I wanted to get the ball rolling for them, eventually they will jump in and take this over.

Thanks

i went to make some more noise and increase my bling factor so i made some steps man when you first put them on they are just so quite at idle but once they break them in after a little bit you can hear them ever so slightly. i am glad to have my boxer rumble with only having done the axle back.
