Long Island Legacy
Did anyone see the 2009 legacy has a redesigned one piece key that is smaller. We should get a group buy for these if they work with older models. Here is the picture from cars 101 http://www.cars101.com/subaru/legacy/Ob09keys1.JPG There Pentagon Shaped, wonder if that a SOA thing . Anyway there pretty cool looking would like to get it for my 07. They remind me of the Toyota key but not so many buttons and nicer.

jim1969
you get them when you buy your car. the have numbers on them so that you can have new keys made if you lose your key. Each car has a specific key/number.
jim1969
the lock and trunk buttons look easy to press in your pocket. they don't look recessed.

Guest
It's joke that after 4 iterations (within one generation run) they still cannot design a decent keyfob, preferably switchblade type.
MOMSWGN
Was at the stealership today and inquired about this key. They only had the non remote version that was laser cut.

robertk232
I'd like to get one of these too. I just bought an 05 LGT. Can I assume that key fobs for newer subarus will work on it? I want a key/keyless entry remote that is one unit, not two!
Guest
I think they are laser cut and not compatible with 05-07.
MOMSWGN
^^What he said, unless you want to change the entire lock mechanism, if that is possible. Can always to the tribeca key.
