phantommaggot
So, Decided I'd paint my wheels.. I got some new tires which led to balancing and one wheel has a nice, new, tacky, old school wheel weight. Can I put that on the inside of the wheel, or get some sticky weights or something? Would it mess anything up?
PeterJMC
Take it back to the shop that did your wheels and have them re-do the balance using Sticky weights instead. They will need to re-balance the wheel/tires. One cannot simply remove and re-install on the inside of the wheel.
phantommaggot
Alright. I'll ask today/tomorrow. Thanks for a quick, no B.S. reply.
PeterJMC
No prob. You only get two straight up no BS replies a year on this site. Future replies will be frustrating and a good laugh at your expense. Good luck - P
phantommaggot
XD I can do a lot of things with a car/engine ETC. I don't have a balance machine so I've never used one. Didn't know if transferring the weight to the inside would work or not. Never needed to ask. My uncle has a shop so he does all the stuff I don't have machines or time for. He said he'd throw it back up on the balance and run it again for the sticky weights. I'm gonna start modding up my grille, so when that's done I can paint it and my wheels Blitz Black.
