my family owns a welding/fab shop >>

i was figuring if i found some outback coilovers the drop was about to stock leggy height, so i figured if i ran at the lowest outback setting on the coilovers, and lifted them a little for hunting/winter/dune riding/etc. i'd be better off. intend on getting some ATs on another set of rims for the fall/winter months. :D

I did not lower the suspension the coil overs all the way down. I took a guess of on where I wanted it then adjusted height until I was happy.

Pictures were when I was running 225 60 16 for tires

If you get coilovers for the same model year, they should fit. People also put forester springs on your shocks (makes it stiffer). Don't quote me on all of that, haven't messed with older legacys.

Go join an offroad subaru forum and start asking around. I'm also a member of offroad subaru, there are also a few other ones I think.

Jake

okay sorry i let me restate the question. megan racing doesnt support outback suspension under the year 2005. Is it possible to mount these 2005 coilovers on an older gen soob?

Quite frankly I have no idea since I don't mess with the previous generation of subies. Sorry I can't help you. Try getting the bolt pattern off your strut towers? My guess is rhett will not fit. You could probably put OE outback strut assemblies on from the same era?

Good luck in your endeavors,

Jake
