JoshNZL Posted May 20, 2016 Share Posted May 20, 2016 Hi guys, Is this a normal sounding start for a 2.0L auto legacy? Been sluggish like this ever since I bought it - I figured it was just how they are but a few things lately have me a bit worried about it. I don't think the battery is soft I had a good 15 second swing on it with the fuel pump disconnected, holds over 9.5V and doesn't seem to deteriorate. PearlBlueGT Posted May 20, 2016 Share Posted May 20, 2016 I noticed our 05 LGT has sluggish start, almost like its lacking battery power at the start. I even bought brand new battery with highest cranking amps, it still does the same. I posted on here a while ago and supposedly subarus are normal to crank like that. I can't watch your video here at work. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. A battery will fully charge with barely passable wires, but a starter will slow down if things aren't 100%. In my experience if the battery posts or big cables look iffy, they are!
