theflystyle
Any suggestions? I took out the old axle and am in the process of installing an OEM rebuilt one but I cant get the axle to meet the diff housing. I even tried putting the old one back but that is having the same issue.
theflystyle
No explanation, but on the umpteenth time it slide in. I was playing around with the retention ring/clip to see if that was not holding center while being put in but I dont know if that was the actual issue. Jazz95
Make sure you didn't rupture the axle seal...keep an eye out for seepage on the side you replaced
Max Capacity
When you have the axle in a far as it will go, jack up the LCA so the axle is horizontal, then hold a piece of 2x4 against the outer end of the axle, then hit it with a 5lb hammer. That should seat it. May be hit it a couple of times. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
