If it's slipping and shot up to 5000 and finally caught (when boost tapers off at 5K) then the RPMs would actually drop. But I agree with the other guy: logs please. Preliminary guess would be that the fuel pressure regulator reference hose popped off, but it could also be many other things. BtSsm - Android app/Bluetooth adapter. LV, logging, gauges and more.
