OzLegacy
I seem to have misplaced my owners manual. Just wanted to know two things. If someone can please share, I'd appreciate it: 1. Recommended oil weight 2. Recommended fuel octane This is for the 2.5i NA engine. Thanks much

OzLegacy
We don't have 87 octane down here. I've been using 91 octane mostly. 95 on occasion. And 98 when I've been in an extra silly mood.
jmo
98? im sure some people would love to have that available at US pumps.
OzLegacy
Oddly enough, I can't feel any difference between any of the above octanes. Car runs equally well/bad on all three Guess I'll stick with
krzyss
98? im sure some people would love to have that available at US pumps. You do have it. It is 93. Different number is obtained using different methods. Krzys PS US uses average of Reasearch AKI and Motor AKI values. The rest of the world uses ony one of them that happens to be lower (I wish I remember which one it is, use Google).

pillboy
Oddly enough, I can't feel any difference between any of the above octanes. Car runs equally well/bad on all three Guess I'll stick with 91 Engines designed for low octane will not run better (or different in the short term) on higher octane. It is still ugly.
