ejv122
Hey everybody, Just bought a used 2013 Legacy 2.5 CVT @ 57000 miles Wondering if anybody could introduce me to the " must do " maintenance schedule for the vehicle i've seen conflicted recommendations for: 1) CVT oil replacement 2) Front and rear diff oil replacement 3) Spark plugs 60 vs 120k I'm planning on replacing the cabin and engine air filter myself. Anything else I should do or not do based on the subaru maintenance schedule? Appreciate all your help and suggestions!
dgoodhue
I would do 1,2,3 @ 60k miles. You will also want to check your oil consumption as some 2013 have issue with excessive oil burning. The good news is that Subaru will replace your engine up to 100k miles if it fails the oil consumption test.
ejv122
Thank you! Getting an oil change now to set a new oil change interval as well-- and track consumption
capttris
Accurately track any oil consumption YOURSELF, and don't just rely on the dealer. Before leaving the dealer, pop the hood and make sure you are 100% even on the top of the oil level, NOT over. Good call on doing 1,2,3 at 60K.
