dylandevine123
I am thinking about buying a cobb short throw shifter versus a kinda no name ebay type. Is it worth it to spend the extra for the name? And is kartboy comparable to cobb? Thanks for the input
sdavidson7014
I dont know anything about a cobb shortthrow, ive heard good things about the kartboy one, but your probably just paying for the name. I'd get the ebay one for something like this honestly.
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted May 24, 2012 I Donated Share Posted May 24, 2012 I had the kartboy with the bushings and loved it -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." wish
I had a kartboy a few years ago, and now I have an eBay one. Same exact shifter, but ebay was only $25 shipped vs. $100 for kartboy

I Donated broknindarkagain Posted May 24, 2012 I Donated Share Posted May 24, 2012 Thats shorter then the stock shifter, but I promise you the throw isn't going to be the same as the Cobb or Kartboy. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." wish
Yeah, 2001 and earlier is narrow shifter. You mean front stay bushings or pivot bushings? I just reused my stock pivot bushings and installed a set of front stay bushings a friend gave me
ricky santana
Installed it today and couldn't be happier. While it isn't a kartboy or Cobb it works great. I can shift through all gears with the flick of my wrist while never lifting my elbow from the center console. After it was all said and done it would have been just as easy and cheaper to thread and and cut the stock shifter but whatever.
wish
Cutting the stock shifter doesn't make the gears shorter, just the height. Which just makes it shift even less smoothly since you have less leverage.
