spec.B Dream
Interesting. In for write up. What year Evo?
Z0rr0
any Evo 8.. there's a good writeup at rs25, it's what i followed.. except i had the knuckles and calipers machined, rather than ground.. i still have to take it back apart to reinstall my axles and make sure all cotter pins and stuff are installed.. so i'll take better pics then. i have been dropping teaser pics of projects here and there, but when it's all done, i will put together a complete pic and build thread. Whatisit
Is there some benefit to EVO Brembo's? they are red instead of gold
Z0rr0
they are red instead of gold this.. and they are cheaper than STI brembos.. you can use Legacy GT rotors with them.. so no expensive 04 STI rotors.. i'm in the caliper setup $400 with machine work.. spec.B Dream
Very cool. Thanks for the info about another brake option. I'm at almost 50k on the stock brakes and I really need to figure out what to do about replacing them.
fixem2r
Evo brembo can be found for a good price, especially if the clear coat is trashed on them. Easy fix, just scrape and sand then reclear with VHT clear. Did that on my old Evo, looked awesome.
fightinchunk
what would be needed to do the evo brembos in the rear. I can get the whole set for 300...

blongo804
Are specific rotors needed for Brembos? I'm looking into Evo Brembos and they certainly are cheap, but wasn't sure what kind of rotors are needed.

Z0rr0
I didn't do the angle grinder thing. I gave the knuckles, calipers, rotors, etc. to a local CNC Machine shop, and they fit them for me, perfectly flat, perfectly inline with the rotor. for $200, i figured it was worth it.
