DrJayMixwell Posted April 27, 2015 Share Posted April 27, 2015 I can't adjust the temperature on the passenger side. It stays cool no matter what setting/temp I adjust it to. Car is 07 specb stock radio/hvac unit. Long story short, I had to brake suddenly and spilled my coffee onto the head unit. it was flavored coffee so it had caramel and mocha in it. It seeped in and shortly after the most of the buttons and knobs started sticking and this was when the issue started to occur. My question is, is the temp solely digitally controlled? I'm thinking the coffee seeped in deep enough to damage the board inside. I can turn the knob to adjust the temp and the display shows the temp being changed, but even if i turn it up to 85F it still comes out cool. These cars have a known issue with the heater core starting to flow poorly, and one of the symptoms is cold air out passenger side. Drivers will still function normally. Try flushing heater core.
