farmnfly
Wife's car 2000 legacy automatic, lower control arm rusted broke from frame. The car has severe ny rust issues. I found locally a rust free 2000 legacy high mile standard with a bad transmission, I can get the car for a grand. Problem, wife can't drive standard. I'm a diesel mechanic and have the shop and tools. My question is, is it possible to swap the complete dash with computers and wiring harness and engine bay harness, then swap drive trains. I know there will be some other issues brake interlock, trany cooler etc. Will the engine and transmission from the automatic Bolt into the standard? Or are the engine cradles different. I haven't bought the car yet. Just looking for some other thoughts. We just drive the legacy in the winter months. Thanks
